BioName's Jonathan O'Neil, one "L". There's some loser out there freaking out over the whole "one 'L', two 'L'" thing. Someone really should return the old man to whatever nursing home he escaped from.
Anyway, my friends call me Jon, but since I hear there's already a John here in Atlantis, you can call me Jonny. Just don't ever call me Jack. I'm not him. Yes, I am his clone, though I prefer the term "genetically engineered replica", thank you very much. Don't compare us, we're not the same anymore. For one, I'm a lot younger. Secondly, I actually admit to understanding over half the stuff Sam and Daniel ever talked about. It's the entire basis for my schooling, in fact. You see, after the old man dropped me off, I thought I'd actually learn things in school. Math, science, history, the fact that I'm gay...
Oh. You didn't know that? Well, yeah, I am. And so's he, if he'd just admit it already. He didn't zone out on Daniel nearly as much as he let on. So I used his hard won knowledge to help me get into college a little earlier than I normally would. They consider me a prodigy. If only they knew.
I'm here, officially, because I appear to have an instinctive understanding of Ancient--both written and spoken--and also my ATA gene is just as strong, if not stronger, than Colonel Sheppard's. Unofficially, however, the old man wanted me somewhere out of the way where I couldn't get into too much trouble and he wouldn't have to worry about me popping up. I have the honorary rank of Colonel, the same rank he was when Loki decided to play Multiplicity with him, but no one except the highest of the command staff of Atlantis is supposed to know that.
This is a small city and the gossip is rampant. Everyone will probably know inside of a day. I just hope McKay doesn't bug me about it. Cover or no, I might just have to hurt him. There isn't any Siberia to send him to here, after all.
